In Romania, Saint-Gobain Glass produces glass for architectural facades, residential buildings, interior design, assembled glass products & household appliances. The solutions meet the challenges of environmental protection, energy efficiency, sound insulation, security and safety needs, solar control and maximum transparency.
THE BENEFITS OF SAINT-GOBAIN GLASSES
Saint-Gobain Glass triple glazing combines a high level of energy efficiency with total transparency and, implicitly, very good light transmission. Insulating glazing retains heat from the room and allows natural heat to penetrate, further warming the interior space.
Saint Gobain glazing allows natural light to enter, while reflecting two-thirds of the sun's heat to avoid overheating the rooms. By using the air conditioner less, energy consumption will be much lower.
Large glazed windows allow better lighting of the interior space, while ensuring openness and communication with the outside. In addition, the reduced use of artificial lighting leads to lower energy consumption.
High-performance glazing can substantially improve energy consumption and reduce expenses by more than 30%, compared to plain glazing. The airtight system keeps the heat inside and at the same time allows natural light to warm the interior of the house in winter.
Laminated glass panes eliminate the risk of accidents caused by possible glass breakage and provide security in the event of attempted break-ins. Laminated safety glass consists of a plastic film (PVB) sandwiched between two panes of glass.
Acoustic glazing contains a plastic film that acts as a barrier, eliminating outside noise. In a typical urban space, to ensure optimal acoustic comfort, it is necessary to produce a difference of about 30 dB between the noise outside and inside the home.
